The Pre-Construction Phase

Land purchase, design, and permits

This phase is the most variable and the most underestimated. Finalizing plans, getting them approved by a municipality, and pulling permits can take weeks in rural areas or many months in dense urban ones. The Construction Phases

Interior finishes

Exterior work and landscaping

The final inspection, addressing any items on the punch list (the list of things that need correction before closing), and the closing process itself.
